Hi. I was on an older contract, now expired, from pre 2021 so am fortunate that I'm able to use my minutes, texts and data in EU without further charges or the requirement to buy a roaming package.
EE send regular offers to ask me to sign up to a current contract. I'm not averse to doing this but, if I did, would I forego the right to use my data etc free of charge in EU, even though I'm an old customer? tbh, that would persuade me to keep my current arrangement if so.
Thanks for any advice.

Hi @spjjohnson
What is the name of your plan/tariff. Is it a Max plan.
If you want a similar benefit and are not bothered about a phone then an all rounder/full works sim only plan with the roaming add on (and other add-ons available) will be your best bet.
Thanks

YES the new contract means no more included roaming. I Have been with ee 20 years. New contract in Jan. I n Italy in April get a text to say included. Got home to a data roaming bill. The text not retrievable on their system. Got a refund eventually but beware.
