Roaming Charges for Turkey Extortionate

EE's roaming charges for Turkey are Extortionate !

£7.84 a day for 500MB, so a 10 day holiday is going to cost you an extra £78.40 on top of what you pay monthly!

So many other operators provide better deals, that I'm shocked how poorly EE handle roaming to Turkey.

Anyone else figured out a better way to sort out their roaming to Turkey?

Both eSIM & physical SIM can roam on Turkish networks.

An eSIM from a Turkish network would qualify for your taxable scenario, a physical SIM from a non Turkish operator would qualify for non-taxable.

Equally many roaming visits would be <120days in duration.

And your expensive smartphone becoming a brick after a second visit in a year to Turkey after 120 days, because an overseas visitor didn’t research the local tax regime.

Apart from Sky that offers roaming at £2 per 24 hours, I would recommend purchasing an eSIM that roams on the Turkish network for convenience.
