Hi, i'm off to America in September and plan to use my smart benefit for roam further whilst there, i also have a data plan for my Apple Watch, as it's the same account (but not same plan) will the data on the Apple Watch be included or will I have to have that particular data account on data turned off whilst there?. In other words will the roam further only apply to my Phones data?
Thanks

Hi @Shauns65
Thanks for coming here.
This would be for the phone only as roaming is not available on the Apple Watch Personal Paired plan. However, you’ll still be able to use most of the features if it’s connected to your phone via Bluetooth.
You will need to make sure you have roaming set up to use your phone abroad, to do this please log into your My EE account online go to Menu > Account Settings > Parental and Data Controls > Enable Roaming and also Make calls abroad from the UK > They will show as ticked if roaming and calling abroad is activated.
Thanks
Leanne.

On the Apple Watch series 8 launch presentation last week, Apple stated that International Roaming was coming to Apple Watch series 5 and newer. EE was not on the list however, and O2, Three and Vodafone was.
Have spoken to EE support about this, nobody knows anything about it and it's not looking like it will work on EE.
The EE logo has previously always been present on Apple's keynote presentations when showing supported cellular plans but it was a glaring omission on this occasion. Apple event available to re-watch on YouTube

I think quite a few EE customers may well switch networks as a result of EE not supporting roaming on an Apple Watch.
A pity as EE has always been at the forefront with Apple device support.

EE decided not to support roaming with smart watches. no good reason for it, they just dont want to - "business decision".
Vodafone suport this at no extra charge. If it's important to you - vote with you feet and leave and maybe EE might have a think about their position.

agreed - Vodafone support it at no extra charge! So now EE customers have other options
