Roam further Jordan and Maldives

I have just had a very long chat with customer services over message and I think I have been given the wrong info.

I was asking how much data roaming would be in Jordan and the Maldives, of which I was struggling to get an answer from the agent. Eventually I was told to get the Roam Further add on as this would give me 50g of roaming for the month covering both locations.. great I thought and got them to add it.

Looking in my account at add ons, I can see that Roam further hasn't been put on and instead a Travel Data Pass Max has been put on until I get back. (I fly saturday to Jordan). My understanding is that Travel Data Pass max charges me a day rate? the rate I initial went to customer services to ask about!

could someone let me know if roam further covers Jordan and the Maldives or does it have to be a travel data max plus? If the second, do we know what the cost is and for how much daily data.

@paulnots : The Roam Further Pass is not applicable to those countries. It is intended for roaming in the EU & 5 other large popular countries.

As it is not in EU, you cannot use your usual UK allowances there but will need to pay the charges or buy roaming add-ons as set out in https://ee.co.uk/help/help-new/roaming-costs/countries/jordanhttps://ee.co.uk/help/help-new/roaming-costs/countries/maldives .

The TDP in Jordan is £5.70 / day for 8MB. The Maldives are not listed but it should tell you when you arrive.

If you are on contract, remember to text ROAMING to 150 before you leave UK to ensure roaming is enabled on your account.

Well done having a screenshot of that webchat.

The Roam Abroad pass doesn't cover those countries and you can't change that. But by having proof of being told as much, that lends great weight to any complaint you may make or any charges incurred upto now.
