I’m a new customer, set up new sim today and calls and sms works but WhatsApp won’t send verification code. It just says try again in 1hr and WhatsApp call to verify won’t work either.

It’s bizarre. I left it a full 24hrs between last night and tonight before trying again. 20 mins ago, it asked me to try again in an hour, so I did the troubleshooting again for the 100th time,re installed, tried to set up as a new account and it worked, so I logged back into my old to change it and it worked. I literally did nothing different than I’ve done all weekend so I have no idea why it worked now other than asking EE today to allow marketing texts. I’m glad it now resolved.
