Hi
i have just upgraded and part of my new contract is free data roaming abroad. I have a zero spend cap but you say this has blocked my data roaming abroad - how can I resolve this please?

Hello @Mackeysue7.
Welcome to the community.
All EE plans are now require a roaming pass when roaming which is chargeable to be able to use your services as you would at home.
Are you aware if you have a plan with swappable benefits and you have chose the pass as an inclusive pass?
If you need to remove a spend cap you can do this by logging in to your MyEE account.

What a rubbish reply.
If data roaming abroad is free, you should not have to remove your spend cap to roam abroad as is doesn't cost anything to do so. So, it's either free, or it isn't, which is it?!
Besides ALL other providers provide EU roaming from free as standard. EE needs to up their game!

Hi @appleby2
Data roaming abroad isn't free, but is sometimes included with the plan, if you have the Roam Abroad inclusive extra and are travelling to an inclusive country.
To check out our roaming costs, take a look at our roaming tool.

There is also a difference between "free" & "inclusive", which I suspect is part of the issue here.
A good comparison is that voice calls to 0800 numbers are free from any phone, whereas calls to landlines & mobiles are inclusive from within an allowance - that doesn't make them free, although zero cost.

True, there is a difference. But if you have unlimited text and calls, you should be able to use roaming even with a zero spend cap.
Only EE seems to charge £2 a day for EU (calls and text) roaming (£2.29 if not included) all other providers are doing this for free/included for zero charge. (Not talking about data roaming mind)
