Hi,
I'm in Canada and have the unlimited data package as well as a roam abroad pass. If you could confirm:
1. I have another line on the same account also with the roam abroad pass - it has 5gb data but I have gifted it 100gb - can the account therefore 105gb data via the Roam abroad pass
2. Can I tether my data via the Roam abroad pass
3. Am I charged for receiving calls and voicemail on the Roam abroad pass
4. Do I have unlimited data or capped to 50gb via roam abroad pass

To add, the roaming pass - which enables use of your UK allowances in the selected countries - is a per-number add-on, not a per-account one.
If you have multiple phones all roaming, each will need their own billing add-on as required.

I can provide some general guidance based on EE's typical policies for roaming and data usage. However, it's always best to confirm with EE directly to ensure accuracy.
- If you have gifted 100GB of data to another line with a 5GB allowance, that line should have a total of 105GB available to use. However, the Roam Abroad Pass may have a fair usage policy that could limit the amount of data available for use abroad. Typically, fair usage limits for roaming are different from the total data allowance.
Tethering Data via Roam Abroad Pass:
- Generally, EE allows tethering when using the Roam Abroad Pass. However, the same fair usage policies and data limits apply when tethering. Confirm this with EE to ensure no additional charges or restrictions.
Charges for Receiving Calls and Voicemail:
- With the Roam Abroad Pass, you should not be charged for receiving calls or listening to voicemails. The Roam Abroad Pass typically covers these activities within the included destinations. Verify this to ensure there are no unexpected charges.
Unlimited Data or Capped at 50GB via Roam Abroad Pass:
- EE’s Roam Abroad Pass often includes a fair usage limit, which is commonly capped at 50GB per billing cycle when roaming. After exceeding this limit, you might experience reduced speeds or be charged additional fees. Check your specific plan details for confirmation.
To get the most accurate and up-to-date information, especially for roaming policies and data usage limits, I recommend contacting EE customer service directly.
Confirming these details with EE will ensure you have the correct information and avoid any potential charges while roaming in Canada.
