I am having the same problem - i am abroad and NO I HAVE NOT used my card back in UK, but was told by customer services, that i didnt need to .... that it would just work straight away although i would connect from another country for the first time. Is this not correct? if not, what can i do for my phone to start at least receiving calls

@kulik  The Sim cards have to be activated within the UK that cannot be done outside the UK on a roaming network. Nothing can be done to get these working whilst you are abroad

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

Good morning @kulik

Welcome to the community.

EE SIM cards need to be activated in the UK using the EE home network before travelling abroad.

There is no way for our technical care team to be able to manually activate this for you.

Hello,

I have purchased two Pay as you Go simcards in UK. The store staff ensured me, that i do not have to put them in my phone first in UK, that they would work straight away even if i put them in my phone abroad for the first time.

This is obviously not correct as i now put them in phones and non of them can call or receive calls from /to any numbers.

I really need for these sims to start working ASAP - can anybody advise what to do please?

Thanks  K.
