Hi All,
My old Samsung died and I needed a phone so got the Xioami 11T (Don't shoot me down, lol)
I don't normally bother with the radio 'text in and win' competitions but every now and again I chance it ... however ... When I send WIN to 61025 (as per instructions and used to always work on old phone) the message gets caught in a 'Sending' loop but it never completes the task.
I did try and locate Usage Control Section in my EE account but general google forums must be old as it doesn't link as they prescribe.
Anyone else have experience of this and, better still, does someone know a get around???
Many thanks N

@Nutburm : Check if Settings > Apps > Menu (3 dots) > Special Access > Use Premium Text Msgs has Messages allowed.

Hi,
Thank you for reaching out and my apology for delay in replying.
Alas, I feel I should have stuck with Samsung phones as I know them well but money is tight so opted for Xiaomi ... oops!
Unfortunately they do not follow standard procedures and, much like your recommendations, the sequence breaks down half way through.
Following your recommendations
Settings ... Yes
Apps ... Yes
Menu? ... Systems app settings or Manage apps or Manage Home screen shortcuts or Uninstalled system apps or Dual apps or Permissions or App lock. No Menu and no 3 dots anywhere (as you would find on Samsung!)
Inspecting each and each folder within, nothing takes me to any of the further stages you indicated (ie Special access / Use premium Text Msgs has messages allowed)
Don’t know if it relates to the phone specifically (ie Mine is a Xiaomi 11T, model 21081111RG running Android v. 12 SP1A.210812.016) or if it’s Xiaomi software.
Long winded reply but if you or anyone else knows a get around, it would be appreciated.
Many thanks

Hi Nutburm,
A bit off topic, but just to say to check the Terms and Conditions online for that particular radio competition (make me a winner?), usually they also offer a 03 phone number to enter that is charged at your standard rate, so if you have free minutes it SHOULD be a free call!
Do check though first 🙂
