  • I’d love to hear the explanation of why the roam abroad fee has been raised by 25%!!!! Nothing but an absolute con. Trying to make calls from abroad to the uk is a joke with the appalling reception and calls constantly dropping out. I’ve never experienced such a dreadful service and now having to pay 25% more. They may as well just doubled it but guess they’ll do that next week and have some pathetic reasoning as to their calculations for doing so.

Coverage abroad is provided by local networks in the relevant country, not by EE themselves.

EE are a UK network operator and have reciprocal roaming agreements for the use of foreign networks by their customersd.

Hi @Gazzab315

Thanks for coming here.

Have you tried connecting to a different roaming network in your device settings?

For information on the price increase, please see our EE Annual Price Change, which includes add-ons and out of bundle charges.

Leanne.

I’m well aware of the networks used by uk companies in Foreign countries. Having travelled the world over and over and using countless services in countless countries, it wasn’t until I had to change my contract and went to EE that I’ve received such appalling service and coverage. Even in the uk, you go into a shop, your signal disappears! I was with 3 for 15 years and had excellent service all the time. It wasn’t until they decided to screw everyone over and charge £5 a day for those using their phones in the USA that I decided to change.

Hi @Gazzab315

Do you have the same problem if you select another network when roaming?

When you are in the UK you can check for any signal issues in an area on the EE network and status checker if you select 'check status' this will show any reported problems for the area.

Leanne.
