Poor signal

Hi. I have had EE for years as the signal in our house is great. Over the past few weeks it has become terrible. Most of the time my signal is on one bar. Anyone got any ideas please? It is driving me nuts. People can’t hear me when I talk to them and I have to walk into another room to get two bars

The signal bars are only an indicator of service, and one-bar is all I have now - without any problems.

Having said that, there's two suggestions. The first is to use the "check status" option on the coverage tool to check for any reported issues in your area - this also includes a "report a problem" link if nothing is showing.

More importantly, do you have WiFi at home? If you do, and you have a recent phone, then WiFi-calling is an excellent solution. This will allow you to use your phone as normal without any mobile coverage.

Hi. I might have explained it wrong. The Wi-Fi signal is good. It’s the other bar to the left of it. It looks like stairs going up. That is what is only on 1 bar. When I talk to people it keeps cutting out and they can’t hear me

If your phone supports WiFi-calling and you have a working wireless internet connection, then mobile coverage should be of no concern.

Enable WiFi-calling in your phone's call settings and you can make & receive calls over WiFi exactly as if you were in mobile coverage.

Hi ..exactly the same as you,was great signal etc but for the last 6 or 7 months really rubbish..I thought it was coz phone was old but have since had an upgrade its no better, now have to find somewhere where I might get a signal. Very disappointed ,would have changed network if I knew this was going to be the case....

Tbh yes thats a solution but really not good enough when away from WiFi....

This thread was started by a user reporting problems with coverage at home, for which WiFi-calling is a good solution.

If you have different issues, it may be better to start a different post explaining them. Then the advice can be specific to you,
