Has Wi-Fi calling stopped working for anyone else today 27/08/2025

Not using Starlink, on standard BT broadband.

All our EE mobile phones have lost Wi-Fi calling together

Rebooted and still not working

We’re still having problems, also very rural with Starlink, rely on wifi calling 😕

Hi, I went on the Starlink app and clicked on "support", then "messages"
and then "contact Starlink support". You can then chat to someone. They
helped me big time yesterday by suggesting to click on "settings", then "
starlink" and then "Split networks"
I then had to make up a name for the primary and secondary networks ( = one
name for the 5GHz and one for the 2.4GHz and a password.
Once done, you leave the app, then start again, go to " settings" then
click on the network with the name for the 2.4GHz.
I got told the 2.4GHz has a much wider reach and could help sort the
problem.
Even though EE claims it has nothing to do with them, it must have..
Like you, we live very rural and depend on wifi calling.
If not clear what I wrote, just chat with them and explain your situation.
Mention the Splitting of network and they'll help you along. After over 3
weeks I've finally got wifi calling back.
Once you've done what Starlink suggests, you've also got to " settings" on
your phone, click on " wifi" and click on the name you gave the 2.4GHz
network.
Good luck, fingers crossed!

Update: I raised a ticket with Starlink and this morning there was an update which seems to have fixed the problem without me having to split the network 🤞🤞so maybe it was a Starlink issue

I've had no WiFi calling for the last few days, and tech support have asked for "3 examples" over a period of 72 hours, detailing the caller (me, presumably), the receiver (could be anyone, but it failed), the date, the time, the postcode, and the technology (WiFi calling of course - which I think they call VoWiFi), and finally the "experience" and any error message.

I've tried explaining that it hasn't worked for a few days, and I've rebooted, rebooted again, checked for updates, rebooted, toggled on and off, etc. etc. etc. Still not working.

When I went outside to get a mobile signal yesterday, I got an SMS from EE saying they had "closed my complaint".

I never made a complaint, just told them WiFi calling wasn't working.

Anyone know what to do next?

Good afternoon @Boxprod.

Welcome to the EE Community!

When it comes to the notification about the complaint, this is always something we'll open when a customer gets in contact to report an issue, and if you're not happy that things are resolved we can definitely get this reopened.

Normally if you're being asked for examples, this will be so our Level 2 team can log a ticket for further investigation.

I would definitely recommend collecting three examples within 72 hours then get back in touch, and they can reopen the complaint, raise the ticket and go from there.

Id say you have had more then plenty people complaining repeatedly over the
last month!!
Every time you phone and hang up, you get a message saying they've closed
the account!! Nothing has been solved! One guy I talked to even gave me his
email address if the problem didnt get resolved, so I emailed him a couple
of times: no answer!!
I just suggest we all stop paying this month's standing order, that should
tell them something!!! They just don't care

Hi,

I put a complaint into EE last week and heard back on Friday from a very helpful lady. The lady acknowledged that there is a problem with EE and Starlink but should be resolved within 12 hours. After speaking with her we finally had wifi calling back… or so thought! Yesterday evening our went off again! This time the problem is with EE only. Family member staying with us is with Vodafone and has wifi calling.
I complained again today with EE and didn’t get anywhere, needless to say I’m so frustrated. As mentioned before we live very rural and don’t get phone signal at home. I needed to drive 15miles this morning to call EE!! For the lady from EE to ask me to connect to my internet and log onto the bbc website to check the wifi is working! Which I then explained the situation again!

I have the same problem with Starlink/EE. I have also rebooted etc etc without success. I spoke to EE on 150 just now and they say it is a widely reported issue first raised a week ago. They are working on it but gave no indication of when it will be fixed. WhatsApp calls work fine
