Hi,
I recently purchased an EE SIM on a monthly contract online. The SIM was delivered on 10-01-2025 and initially activated with a temporary number. Everything worked fine while using the temporary number.
On 13-01-2025, my number was successfully ported from Lyca to EE, replacing the temporary number. However, since the port, I have been unable to receive any incoming messages, although I can send messages and use other services without issue.
I contacted customer service via 150 on 16-01-2025, and they advised me to wait until 22-01-2025 for the issue to resolve.
I have tried using the SIM on both iPhone and Android devices, but the issue persists. Waiting until 22-01-2025 seems like a long period to go without incoming messages.
Is there any quick fix or assistance available to resolve this issue sooner? I would appreciate any guidance or help.

Does this affect all text messages, or just those from particular senders? How about if you send a text message to yourself?
You're absolutely right to think that waiting until 22nd Jan seems a long time, that sounds to me like an excuse from a CS agent who doesn't want to deal with the problem properly.
If you were to callback, I would cross fingers that you speak to someone else.
