My i phone doesn’t allow any NHS 0800 numbers to call me.

My iPhone won’t allow on NHS 0800 numbers to be connected to myself, they just ring out in there end.

I have checked my blocked number and even unblock all 0800 that I had block (none of where NHS numbers), but still can’t receive any calls...

it’s not just from one set NHS number is from various numbers from different parts of the country.

Hi Paw, thanks for your words of support - the ship has steadied but always the risk of troubled waters ahead.

I got massively fed up trying to resolve this, everything EE have tried thus far has not worked, including resetting my network settings which was the last step.  I gave up trying to get it resolved as I couldn’t keep on asking the nurses that I go to see to continue giving me test calls every time I had a fix applied. However, seeing as there is more than one of us having issues I’ll follow up.

EE provided me a free number to call from another line so they could do more tests on my mobile - I’ll do that tomorrow  and see if that helps. I won’t be able to get an attempted call til Tuesday next week earliest but for sure I’ll feedback as soon as I can.

If you have any success, please give us an update. I hope it isn’t causing you too much stress, the workaround I managed to enable was they now have my home and work numbers too so that they have an alternative means of getting in touch - not ideal, but better than nothing at this stage.

Take care, g

I have exactly the same issue, iphone14, what is the solution please

Hi Azlan,

The last step which the top tier of tech support did for me was to reset my network settings. When I was in hospital next time, I asked the nurses to do a test call to my current phone and as if by magic it actually worked … I can only assume that the reset worked. One thing to note is that my local hospital now called me from an 0300 number - im not sure if that changed between my previous failed attempt and the successful one, but it seems to work now!

Have to say, it still leaves me slightly nervous that there may still be calls I’m missing but til I get told otherwise I can only assume it has worked.

cheers,

g

Hi @Azlan86

I'd definitely recommend speaking to our technical support team about this.

Chris

Hi, I am new to this issue and am having the same issues with my iPhone 6. repeatedly missing NHS calls from (I think) both 0300 and 0800 numbers. Has EE come up with a fix for this yet? if not I'm leaving.

Hi @potash,

Welcome to the EE Community. 🙂

The previous poster said that our Technical Support Team resolved the issue for them.

I'd recommend getting in touch on 150.

Thanks

James

I can tell you what worked for me, what i did was this entirely disabled all incoming calls without resorting to blocking, there are several ways to silence or divert calls on your iPhone without blocking specific numbers:-

1. Do Not Disturb:- Activate Do Not Disturb mode by swiping down from the top right corner of your screen and tapping the crescent moon icon. This silences all notifications, including calls and texts. You can customize Do Not Disturb further in Settings > Focus > Do Not Disturb to allow calls from specific contacts or groups during certain times.
2. Airplane Mode:- Activate Airplane Mode by swiping down from the top right corner and tapping the airplane icon. This disables all wireless connections, including cellular data and Wi-Fi, effectively stopping all incoming calls. However, it also prevents other communication and internet access.
3. Silence Unknown Callers:- Go to Settings > Phone > Silence Unknown Callers and toggle it on. This silences calls from numbers not in your Contacts, sending them directly to voicemail without ringing your phone. You'll still see missed call notifications for these calls.
4. Forward Calls:- You can set up call forwarding to send incoming calls to another phone number like your voicemail or another device. Go to Settings > Phone > Call Forwarding and configure it according to your preference.
5. Custom Focus Modes:- iOS 15 and later offer Focus modes. Create a custom Focus mode dedicated to silencing calls while allowing other notifications. Go to Settings > Focus > Create New Focus and customize the settings for calls and notification silence. More details information below.
