Was wondering if anyone could give me some clarity on the number thanks.i have already blocked it but would not like to think I have blocked an actual EE number.

@Sjfc1884 : It just means EE tried to call you. Were you expecting a call from EE? The recorded announcement gives you a no. to call to remove your no. from their calling list.

If this is one of your direct partners why did they ask me to give them a 4 digit pin from a text to confirm I was the account holder but when I read the text it said it was a one time code to reset all my security answers. That screams scam to me and if they are one of your partners I suggest you unpartner them very quickly for dishonest behaviour.

Welcome to our community.
If you’ve had a call from one of our registered partner numbers and something doesn’t feel quite right, it’s always best to get it checked.
I'd recommend reaching out to our customer care team so they can look into this for you.

Hi, I had a call from the same number from a Mohamed Raman. He offered me a cheaper monthly fee, which I thought was strange. He said he would send me a PIN then said he couldn't send it, I asked what was the PIN for and he didn't reply. He asked as security check, he asked me for my email address, for my payment date and how much was my direct debit. Then he asked how many people are in my household, to which I replied - a few. Then he asked if I have a burglar alarm, I asked what has it got to do with my broadband to which he again did not reply and moved onto offering a slightly cheaper cost. There was a lot of background noise and I could hardly hear him. The burglar alarm question made me very suspicious and it was strange that EE would phone to OFFER to reduce my month cost. It sounded too much like a scam so I hung up. A few hours later, a David called and I hung up. I am curious as to what has a burglar alarm got to do with my broadband? Would appreciate if you could explain it. Thank you

Yup had the same. It's amazing was a woman with a nice friendly voice asking about upgrading BT/EE and sent me a 4 digit pin My Chinese Android phone rightly identified the call as Scam (Stevenage). Too bad EE are not very good at protecting or advising their customers in this domain.
Tell your technical team to develop an AI solution to this problem, so the agent can automatically check whether the community post's query about a scam caller is likely a scam or not. It's so simple, yet a big company like EE can't even do it. Do us a favour fire your technical team and put out an open ad on your website to find someone or a team that know what they're doing, as this is very very wrong.
