In Australia for 7 months

I have recently renewed my EE contract and told the sales person I’m in Australia for 7 months travelling/working, and was told that’s fine just pay roaming monthly cost and use your phone as you would at home.
I have contact EE over an invoice query and have now been told this isn’t the case and my phone will just stop working after 3 months!!
I’m totally confused as I have set up all my work permit information in Australia to my uk number and need my uk number for work contacts and family  back home!
what do I do I’m getting worried about this I went out of my way to sort this out before I left and thought although it cost me more it was the simplest solution to save changing phone numbers and SIM cards.

Where am I actually looking on the document? I explained my travel plans before I left the uk how can an advisor (ee expert) get it so wrong? I followed their advice and did what I was told to do.

Page four of this one: EE pay monthly plan T&Cs – from 16 August 2023, @Samantha123451. I'm sure if anything comes of it, that would be taken into consideration.
