I made the mistake of allowing EE to talk me into taking out a contract after the ‘switch’from BT. It’s been chaotic. EE are clearly trying to sell as much as possible regardless of what the customer wants. They have been taking money for a mobile phone contract that does not exist, there are no invoices on the website but that is what they claim the charges are for. They claim to have sent me a SIM card but I have never asked for or received such a thing and the contract I have with EE makes no mention of a phone deal. I found out they were charging me because of a separate item on my bank account. So far I have called them three times and been fobbed off because they say there is an ‘investigation’ but despite saying they would call back they never have. Under pressure they have agreed to cancel my direct debit (which I have done anyway) but still say I must await the findings of the ‘investigation’ before refunding me. They have told me there has been zero usage of the alleged SIM card, however. And yes, their website does keep apologising because pages don’t work.
