Extending rintgtime to more than 20 secs

Hi Community,

I have been trying to extend the ringtime beyond 20 seconds for days. I have a Samsung S9 on latest O/S update. 

I have tried all of the suggested **61*..... solutions in this community (and across Google) for extending the time and none of them work. 

I have tried while on the 4G network and on WiFi - all to no avail.

Any ideas?

Hi @mikexpatton 

You cannot if you've got voicemail as that activates after 30 seconds.

The short code you alluded to would be the normal way if you deactivate voicemail. Try deactivating voicemail and try the short code.

Can you be specific about which codes you have tried?

My understanding is that the default "VM ON" text resets the conditional diverts including a 30second timer on no-answer.

But you should be able to alter that to your preferences.

Thanks for the reply.

I have turned VM off (and had confirmation of that) and tried updating the timeout whilst on the 4G network. timeout always remains at 20 sec.

I have read through various articles on here and tried several MMI codes. The latest being:

**61*07953222222*11*25#

or

**61*+447953222222*11*25#

When my VM is on, to transfers after 20 secs.

Any help gratefully received.

Deactivated VM and tried the shortcode, but still stays at 20 secs. Please see my response to @bristolian too.
