Can anyone tell me how I can find out how to add a decent size data pack for use when I am in Turkey on my pay as you go sim. Will need maybe 100 Gb in the month for streaming?

 Thanks

Hi @Rob246

Turkey isn't in the EU and therefore you will be better off with a local SIM.

EE charges for Turkey are here:

Thanks

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone. You can call Freephone +44 800 079 8586 on Skype

Thank you for the help. I know Turkey isn’t in the EU but I hope EE might have something useful. The link states 500Mb per day for £6.85 so I agree, local sim is the only option if I am using up to 6Gb a day… LOL 🤣

Thanks again.

@Rob246 : Not on PAYG it doesn't! That's for contract. The most PAYG can get is a weekly 250MB data for £20 or a daily 100MB for £7.

Local SIM is only an option if your device is unlocked.

I recommend you buy a tourist sim these can be picked up as you leave the airports in turkey. Or in a local phone shop. Currently there are different prices for different levels of data.

They last about a month and don't renew but can be topped up while still being in use. 20 or 30gb is about 25 to 30 English pounds in marmaris mugla region. You could turn the data off in good WiFi areas

The WiFi in hotels and restaurants etc can't be relied upon for business purposes

Virgin is also a turkish based company.

Previously their data was priced same as UK but they changed and put turkey in their euro zone2 so it is no longer worth using their sim abroad. Even their voxi sim works out far more expensive than using the tourist option.

I'd you have a compatible phone you can get an unlimited data E-sim. Check out Holafly or Air alone for plan prices
