We have just moved over to EE from O2 and are using an iphone 13 Pro. Up to now we have used conditional call forwarding which diverts the call after a certain number of rings to the main office number. However, despite numerous calls to Business Technical Support nobody seems to know how to do this at EE. I can't believe that there is only the on/off option to divert a call to another number! If anybody out there knows a way it can be done I'd be very grateful to know, otherwise we might have to switch to another network 🫤.

@PAatFA the call divert is doing exactly what it should be doing when a person calls that number, its automatically pushed to the diverted number. Different networks might work this differently say after a set number of rings.

The default timeout for incoming calls to be diverted is 25seconds I believe - used to be 30 but was changed a few years back.
You can alter the timeout in 5 second increments, by either using your phone's menu (if the option exists) or via "GSM codes". There's a past thread on this forum, which gives the instructions and (unusually for a historic thread) is still valid..

Thanks but we need it to divert to a different number not just adding extra time before going to voicemail.

So it sounds that the option to have a set number of rings before the call is diverted isn't possible on EE??
We don't want it diverted immediately in case the user is able to take the call.

Providing that you're on pay-monthly, you can use your phone's settings menu to do exactly this.
Diverts are either unconditional "divert all calls" or conditional "divert when..." unanswered, unreachable, or busied. Just follow the on-screen prompts to choose the number you want to divert to.

Hi
did you find a solution to this.
it used to be set up on our phones using *61* but this doesn’t seem to work anymore.

Hi @ND29,
Welcome to the EE Community
Is it actually setting up a conditional call forward you are having an issue with or amending the ring time on an already successfully set call forward?
Actually setting the forward should be something you can do via your phone menu, what type of phone is it you are using?

Thank you so much for replying.
No it's setting it back up. It used to be on there but seems to stop working. It's an iPhone 13pro diverting to an iPhone 16pro. I have also spoken to EE and apple and they seem to struggle too. We only want unanswered calls diverted
We have tried the *61* code
Many thanks
Natalie

The code to use is **61*<whatever number you want to divert to>*11*nn# then dial that number.
nn = the number of seconds you want to elapse before diverting to the number you’ve set, in 5 second increments from 5 to 30 seconds.
Example:
So if Joe Blogg’s number was 01234 567890 - and you wanted to divert calls to him after 20 seconds, you would use
**61*01234567890*11*20# then press the dial button.
If that doesn’t work, then you’ll need a “Network Refresh” on your sim, which can be actioned via Customer Services.
