Charges abroad and data roaming

In November 2023 I changed 4 phones to EE on the promise there would be no overseas charges.  Now I’m in Majorca and I’m told it will be £2.67 per day.
I changed my tv and broadband and was promised unlimited data
now after 4 days I’m told I’m running out of data allowance.
All my texts are unanswered.
I feel I have been shafted.

As you started your current contract after 07/07/21 there will be a charge of £2.47 per day while roaming in EU unless you buy the Roam Abroad Pass for £25 / billing month or have it as an Inclusive Extra.

You may use up to 50 GB per billing month of your data in the EU.

Sorry to appear dim but if I am told in the EE shop that there are no charges due to loyalty then I am foolish enough to believe them.

I can only tell you what the official EE stance is on roaming in EU. I was not present in that shop.

Hey @Lawsonwalker

Thanks for coming to the community.

Do you have an inclusive extra included with your plan?

Debbie 🙂

Did you get "inclusive EU roaming" in writing from any shop staff? If you did - then you may have a good case.

The same query would apply to any "I was told xyz in abc shop" - regardless of the product purchased.

An inclusive extra, as mentioned in the previous reply, could cover this - but otherwise the standard charges apply.
