Cant send text messages anymore - getting 'not delivered' with a !

Does anyone know why this might be? I've been able to text as normal this morning then all of a sudden I'm getting the error message when I try to send. Nothing wrong with coverage either.

Hi, I'm having the same issue.  Just started this morning.  One number in contacts only.  Can anyone advise?  I can call the number just not text.  Have already deleted and re-entered with no luck

Since this morning I have been unable to send texts to one particular contact, it keeps saying number not formatted correctly but I know it is as it's been working fine up until today.  I can call the number fine and text any other numbers in my contacts.  I've deleted the contact and re saved, no joy.  I've uninstalled messages app and reinstalled, no joy.  I've restarted phone and updated software etc still no joy.  Can anyone please help?

Hi Bluefish, 

This error code 0 is happening to me. I can text my son on ee, texts to myself cone through but texts to a friend on gif gaf are not going through? 

I restarted my phone, I checked the SMSC and that's right, I deleted and re added the numbers and I changed to a different messaging app (Using Samsung Galaxy 22). 

What worked for you?

I’m having the same problem, texts will send to some numbers but not others. It seems I can’t send texts to anyone on O2. Started at around 15:30 and still hasn’t resolved itself.

Hi @Nikki64,

We've looked into why some customers are unable to send texts to certain providers and can confirm this is not an issue with the EE network. This appears to an issue with the mobile provider receiving the text.

We've looked into why some customers are unable to send texts to certain providers and can confirm this is not an issue with the EE network. This appears to an issue with the mobile provider receiving the text.
