Cannot phone from abroad

I have the same problem as a previous messager today. I am in Spain and completely unable to use my mobile phone to call abroad. Whenever I dial any UK number I get a voice message saying calls to this number are restricted and telling me to phone freephone 470. When I do that I hear a Spanish voice speak for a few seconds then it cuts off. I can't even phone EE customer services and there is currently no way I can send them a message. I am getting desperate - please help me.

P.S. I already activated roaming on my phone for internet and calls from abroad.

Christopher I am getting desperate. I can't even contact EE customer services to get this block on phone calls abroad removed from my phone. Could you or another member of your team please phone me or send me a text message which I can reply to. I am in Spain and my full number is +xx xxx xxx xxxx

As l've already said, I've gone into my account settings but can't see anywhere where I can manually change the network provider.

My phone is an Oppo A77 5G.

Try these steps please, @abwwxuz:

1. Tap on Settings
2. Tap on SIM card & mobile data
3. Choose a SIM card (Dual SIM)
4. Tap on Carrier
5. Disable Auto select
6. Tap on Off
7. Select an Available network

Hi Chris, 

I thought the postings meant go to EE account settings to change the network provider - not the phone settings. No wonder I couldn't find any option there to do that. You made it much clearer in your last message. 

So I did the steps you suggested and managed to change the network to Movistar-EE. I'm very glad to tell you it has worked - I can at last make calls abroad again.
