Cannot delete an EE voicemail

I have an EE voicemail 'New voicemail' which when listened to talks about options for voicemail. I cannot delete it WHY????

Pressing option 3 during, or after listening to, a voicemail  - will allow you to delete it.

What happens when you press button 3?

If necessary, try calling yourself from another phone and leaving yourself another voicemail - which you can then delete.

Did you try @bristolian's advice and leave a voicemail message and try and delete the message?

It may be worth speaking to our Mobile Care team to see if we can clear the voicemail from our side.

There has been a stored voicemail on the phone from new which cannot be
deleted.

I added a new voicemail as suggested but still couldn't delete the
original.

I don't want to turn of voicemail.

Only had the phone 2 years and still not sorted.

If you speak with our Mobile Care team, they may be able to reset your voicemail from our side.

What happens when you select the option? Is the VM listed as being "new"?
