Australia Calls/Data

I am going to travel to Australia next week, what is the best package to purchase so I can use my phone for data and texts etc? Thanks

@JRS13   You want the roam abroad pass.   If you open the my EE app and click mobile add ons. Then it will show get more add ons and choose roaming.  You select the roam abroad pass.    This is a monthly add on until you cancel it.     This add on will allow you to use your tariff allowance while there and you can use up to 50Gb of data per month if your tariff has this much allowance or more.

 You also need to make sure roaming is enabled on your account you can do this by texting ROAMING to 150. There is no charge to have this enabled and it’s worth doing now.

Hi Chris_B, what does that mean for calls within Australia? Would they be a local rate or charged as a call from UK?

@Alexb007 : Neither! It means that providing you have bought the Roam Abroad Pass for £15 pm they will be charged from your UK calls allowance. If you haven't they'll be charged at the roaming rate of £1.54 / min.
