Well into the 4th week trying to upgrade my phone .

week 1

 

Hi All

I am 59 years old me and my partner are both disabled and on EE vulnerable list. and a few weeks ago my phone broke and I cant see the screen

Phoned upgrades and told them I'm not fussy what phone I have just need wireless charging as my car as it installed not worried about mins,txts,data, so on as long as its wireless charging, was told (after a while of research by the person in upgrades the cheapest he could find was a OPPO 94S with wireless charging lets get it ordered approved credit check etc: etc: then told sorry its not in stock ok can he suggest anything else he told me that without going well above my budget that's the best choice if I ring back in about 2 weeks we should have them in stock.

week 3

Phoned up same process again still out of stock , he said he would see if he could find and alternative for me , so some time later came back suggested A Samsung galaxy A16s with wireless charging (I have looked it DEFINITELY AS WIRELESS CHARGING SIR) ok then order it same process again passed everything again it was despatched,  Phone came the following day , !!!!!! wheres my samsung galaxy A16s!!!!! no where to be seen its an oppo A16s,  oh come on its not april the 1st this is a joke ,

Yet again phoned upgrades and after the usual wait  zzzzzzzzz!! the very informative person told me we dont do a A16s Samsung well now I.m lost ok then can you suggest something else (YET AGAIN)!! he went of and I got A good deal for you A samsung S21 and because of the way you have been messed around I have Had a word with a manager and we can do it with unlimited mins txts and 1 gb data for £26 ok order it I.m sorry I cant Because you want to keep your old number we need the phone we sent as soon as its back to us and showing on the system we can despatch the new one I have put a note on your account with the phone and the deal I have offered you ok sent the phone back same day had a message the following day we have  your phone as come back to us ,   whoopee on the phone to upgrades again listen to the music so much no most of the words (after a little sing along ) got through I explained if they look at the notes on my account it will explain all she then said I can see it lets go and get this ordered for you ,( OH MY GOD THE DREADED I WILL AFTER PUT YOU ON HOLD) 5 MINS LATER I.m sorry but I don't know where he had that price of £26 from the cheapest I can do it is £32 , no sorry that's above my budget ok sir came the reply I will see if I can find an alternative for you (MY GOD THIS IS SO STRESSFUL ) I will need to ring the samaritans now ,     She came back and said I have found the perfect phone for you have you heard of the pixels nope I replied well i can do a PIxel 6a for you and I asked if it as wireless charging she I am looking at it on google now and it as wireless charging I said ok order it she did and sent it out,

week 4

Recieved my google pixel 6a (WITH WIRELESS CHARGING) and at this point as I explained earlier I am 60 next year and suffer from bad anxiety and depression so phone tech is out of my reach I Transfered everything from my phone which took me 2 hours only to be told later by EE I could have used a clone phone app GRRR !! well I then tried it on my wireless charger and lo and behold no charging I just sat there for 20 mins not knowing what to do next so I rang upgrades yet again and told the story and when he looked he said he cant understand why she told me it was wireless charging he is looking on google and it specifically says no wireless charging so he said let me have a look at this time I was ready to give up and phone vodafone he came back and said I have found the deal you was offered on a samsung A21FE and I dont understand why  she said I cant do it for that price I can do it for £26 not £32  well now I feel worse I said ok go ahead I will have ,OH MY GOD !!!!!!!  he said we need the other phone back Before we can process it ok I came off the phone rang returns same day printed the label and took it to pick up point within 1 hour of getting off the phone had a txt message same day your return as been picked up and is on the way back to us ok rang yesterday sorry you will have to wait for a txt to say it is back in our hands spoke to someone this morning on the advice of a neighbour because he said ring and they can check on the computer for you I rang and was told it is still in the threshold of our time limit and was then told because of the weekend coming up it may not show on their computer till the middle of next week .well that's my story please let me know what to do next I.m at a loss and my Deppresion is really Bad now.

I'm so sorry to hear of your experience so far. Once the phone is scanned in, they will be able to place the order for the new one. 

Do you still have your old phone to use in the mean time?
