Nobody can hear me on a phone call

Hi, nobody can hear me on a phone call, I've run all the tests on my phone and they all came back fine, I know my microphone isn't the issue and the other people's phones are all working fine too .. it's hella frustrating to be honest, I didn't know if you could message EE as I would have trouble calling them

What are the tests you've run on your phone?

How long have you had this problem? Can you use mobile data when you're on a call? Do you have this problem in one specific location or is it general?

Does the audio come & go during a call? Or do you have a 100% loss of outgoing audio from the start of every single call, and it never appears?

Hi and thank you for your reply ☺️

In all honesty it's only been happening for the last few days, and then it's not all the time, I mean yesterday morning it was like it and then in the afternoon someone called again and it was fine, last night it was ok and now today it's doing it again 😔 I did the diagnostics tests that are on your phone.

where is tests the volume, touch screen etc and they all came back as normal, I do have mobile data all the time, although when I'm at home I have to use WiFi calling as my signal at home is rubbish for some reason 🤷

No it's either all working ok or is all out, it doesn't come and go whilst on a call, not  too sure what or why it's happening, everything else on my phone works fine, I've a Samsung Z flip 5 and it's always been ok up until a few days ago ..

I have tried it outside to see if it happens then, just at home

My opinion is its just EE and you're stuck with it, I've wasted so much time on here, on with support, speaking to people, I've never gotten anywhere so am just cancelling at the next opprtunity.

It shouldnt be down to us to chase them and provide ideas to rectify the issue, I'm sick of chasing.

I ruled out the phone, I ruled out the person on the other end, I ruled out wifi, I ruled out the sim card, I spend hours resetting my phone... I've done so much and it still happens.

They just arent interested, but the good news is profits are absolutely through the roof and the shareholders get their hideous payouts even though the service doesnt work... so its not all bad eh.

Hi, thanks for your reply ..

It certainly seems like that doesn't it, I've no idea what my problem is, everything else works fine, with me it doesn't happen with every call, but it is happening more then not, I know it's not my sim card, or my phone and not anybody else phone either, just like you I ruled them out, so I've no idea what the issue is ..

Yeah they are certainly making the money aren't they, but they say they are the best service provider for 11 years running, so I don't know 🤷 I just hope that whatever the problem is with mine, yours or anyone else, that EE get it sorted out because this is just frustrating

I rather suspect the previous response is driven more by someone wanting to rant, than offer constructive help. They have their own thread reporting similar issues, so presumably assume that everyone is affected.

If your issue has only started the past few days, and is only in a particular location, it's worth reporting it via the "report a problem" option on https://ee.co.uk/help/mobile-coverage-checker in the first instance - this has an option for "in-call audio problems".

Also keep a note of when you have a problematic call.

Hi, thank you for replying again 🙂

Ahh right, thank you

Yes I got into with EE and they did check the network at my postcode and I came back as been without any issues.

So I'm still really non the wider as to what could be causing this to happen, but yeah it's only been doing this for the last few days, I've not had any problems like this before now, the on phone tests came back alright, so .. but I will check the link out definitely

Thank you again 😊

Actually it comes from frustration of being tied in to a company that put profiteering above a functional service, it isn’t difficult to use google and see many people having the same issues.

its my way of warning off other potential victims. If you have an issue it’s up to YOU to resolve it, you can ring the support but it’s tiring being told by a different person each day to “try restarting” actually it’s embarrassing.

owning a phone which primary use is to make  and receive calls, but being unable to make or receive calls on it just gets to me a bit considering the disgusting prices we get charged for the privilege.

I'm not going to drag this thread down into a debate when cookyweb has their own thread, and any complaints about their service should be kept to that thread rather than spamming anyone else's.

That said, cooky was advised to collate examples of problematic calls and provide them to EE-CS for further investigation. I do find it curious that seems to have negated a mention in their latest reply, when it would be constructive advice to the OP in this thread.
