I have a Samsung Galaxy 8. Sim 1 is EE and another country sim is in slot 2. EE is set as default for calls, texts and data. Both sims were working fine for 5 years. Several days ago sim2 stopped working. And it isn't recognised anymore.
What do you think?

Does the SIM work if you put in the other SIM slot, @elenatoo?

No. I tried also another phone. And it does not work.

That confirms that the issue is SIM card or account related. Please contact your service provider for support.

Hi,
I contacted the Russian Vimpelcom (Beeline) (the provider for SIM 2). They tested the SIM card 2 remotely again and found out that the plastic of the card was damaged. In the end, they installed an E-SIM on my phone with the same number. Everything works now!
