Unable to connect to EE Wifi in Underground station (iphone - Pay as you go)

Hi,

I've tried and reached out to at least 5 technical support team over the phone but none of them have been able to solve my problem. I'm using sim only Pay as you go plan & cannot connect to EE Wifi Auto when I'm at the underground station. I have basically tried;
1. Reset my network setting
2. Swap phone

None of the method above works. Fyi, I'm using iphone 14 pro and have tested my sim in iphone 12 mini & iphone 8. None of them works too. Is there anything else I can do to get connected to EE wifi at underground station?

Or it is gotta do with my sim that causing the problem?

Thanks 🙂

Hi @wn_irwan

Welcome to the community.

Have you topped up at least £5 in the last 30 days?

Chris

Hi @wn_irwan

Have you set the service up correctly?

Hi @Christopher_G ,

Thank you for your reply.

Yes I did. I top up every month to buy the subscriptions pack. Would that be counted as topup?

Hi @Northerner ,

I don't think there is anything I need to set up for ios device in the article above right (other than I have to topup £5/month - which I did)? I thought it will be automatically connected, but I keep get getting an error that I cannot connect to the network.

I have tried in few tube stations and none of them worked 😞

Hi @wn_irwan

The top up for your subscription pack will be counted as a top up.

What was advised the last time you spoke with our technical care team?

Katie

Hi @Katie_B ,

1. Reset network setting
2. Try swap my sim with other devices at home
3. Try other tube stations
4. Turn off & on my phone again

Thanks for getting back to me @wn_irwan

Since trying those steps have you been back in touch?

Speak soon,

Katie

@Katie_B Yes, I called few times after trying all those suggestions. And different agents would ask me to do the same steps again and again.

Any chance it got to do with my sim ie. my sim could be the culprit as none of the solutions work?
