Signal not working

My signal has stopped working where i would normally get strong signal it's showing a ! And it means i can't use my data and i can't make phone calls or send messages! Basically can't use the phone! What do I do, I've tried restarting my device and nothing!

You have WiFi active so data will go via WiFi. 

Try turning WiFi off.

It does this even when WiFi is off

Are any friends or relatives in your local area having similar problems? That's a good test of whether this is caused by a temporary loss of coverage, or is specific to your phone/account.
