Why does the 3G/4G network service regularly fails in my home area. I receive regular EE text messages alerting users to problems in the area. Is it time for me to move to an alternative network operator?

@SEG4 Do you at present have a network issue? The message you are receiving is covering that area not one particular mast in that area. If one mast has a fault even if you are not connected to that mast you’ll get that message.

Is there actually any impact on the service you're getting? I get the impression that EE is a bit trigger-happy with these "we have a problem" text messages. At one point I was getting 3 or 4 a week but service was almost always the same, no worse than usual, throughout.

I understand your comment, however whenever I receive the alert message there is no service. For the area in which I live the alerts are not generic messages. The service I experience is intermittent and I often cannot get connected to the 3G/4G network.

When I receive the alerts I cannot access the network. It has been down now for 2 days and still today there is no service.

Just to clarify, are you saying you are experiencing a total loss of coverage? That should certainly be reported on the tool and generate a "known issue" text for those registered users.
It's not uncommon for there to be no 3G coverage, but do you get 2G service alongside 4G?

Hi @SEG4
Thanks for coming back to us.
Has there been any change in the area since you posted about this issue?
Leanne.
