If you enable WiFi calling does this mean calls will then be made via the home WiFi? If so is there an alternative solution, I live in rural Wales and our broadband speed is 0.5mbps so not fast enough to make calls.
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

Hi @ninos_123
WiFi Calling lets you make and receive calls and text messages over WiFi, even when there’s no mobile signal. It’s simple to set up, works on compatible phones, and helps you stay connected wherever you have WiFi.
Learn how to enable WiFi Calling, what it costs, and how to fix common issues on our Using WiFi Calling | Mobile Help | EE page
Living in a beautiful rural location shouldn't mean settling for poor internet connection. If you're struggling with fixed line broadband services, have you considered Mobile Broadband with external antenna to enhance signal to the nearest mast?
Alternatively, you may want to consider registering your interest for our Satellite Broadband | High Speed Satellite Internet. We’re starting with pilot installations later in 2026 across selected areas in Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, and rural England.
