I must say that BT has always been awful to contact and now with ee my phones are useless.  Living in the countryside with the roads round here turned upside down because of cabling everywhere my mobile now sounds as though I am in an echo chamber.  I cannot use it and am seriously fed up.

Hi @Katie198678

I'm disappointed to hear that we've left you feeling this way.

I know how important it is to stay connected, and I can imagine you're eager to find out what is happening in your home area.

Using our Mobile Coverage Checker will show any current works in progress. If no works are found, you can also report the issues to us for further investigation.

If you'd rather, you can speak with our team directly. From there, our Guides can look into any concerns you have and run a diagnostic if needed.

I'm not sure of why you're making a connection between poor audio on your mobile calls, and roadworks. Mobile phones use radio to connect to the serving radio site, and are a different technology to landlines. Some radio sites use microwave to backhaul to the core network, some use fibre links.

I'd recommend using the status webtool linked in the previous post, to "report a problem" and choose "in-call audio problems"

Any reason why wifi calling is not available to you?
