Re: Is it just me or is ee phone signal poor

It's poor and it has definately got worse in the last year. It used to be good. It's not just where I live but getting on line for the internet is now very slow if at all an I notice lots of no signal spots when I'm out and about. So it's all over. Suspect they have turned the 4G signal down in favour of 5G. It's not my phone as my wife has the same problem and so do many other people I've spoken to. Of course EE will deny it.

It's a nice conspiracy theory, but 5G-NSA relies on 4G as its base-layer.

OK i'm not an engineer B ut it it's not that then something else has changed. Where I live I now get vitually no reception in the house. When I took out the contract a year ago I got 2 bars. Wife has been on EE for two years same problem with her phone. My neighbour has exactly the same problem. But it's not just local as I've noticed poor signal strength in many places now when I'm travelling resulting in very slow interent.  It never used to be like that.

Hi @joffbeck,

Welcome to the EE Community. 🙂

I'm sorry to hear you're having signal problems at home. Have you turned on WiFi Calling in your phone's settings?

If you experience problems in any other areas, please report them via the Network Status Checker.

Thanks

James

Has every affected user reported their service problems to CS?

Hi James

I'm using WiFi calling already. Without it I would have no mobile within my house. But I think you are missing my point. What I am saying is that the signal strength has gone down and it's not just where I live. I am finding the problem in many locations when I am travelling. I used to be on Vodafone. My wife switched to EE two years ago and when we were out together she could often get on line where I couldn't. So I switched last Novemeber to EE. As I mentioned in my previous post at first I was very pleased at home and whilst travelling, but in the last 6 months I now get no signal in the house (nor does my wife) and when we are travelling she also complains about how poor the internet now is compared to when she first switched. So as I said previously something fundemental in the EE network seems to have changed for the worse.

Optimisation of individual sites or clusters, can often cause perceptible changes in signal where the end-service is unaffected. If you have service issues or no coverage where there once was, this should be reported.

CS = Customer Services. 150 from your EE mobile.
