Poor Speed and patchy service again.

Hello, I have very bad service in my area in the last month my speed and service has become intolerable. I have Directional Poynting antenna with a RUTX14 industrial 4G router. My speed and service with this is pretty consistent usually and in my current location being in a bit of a dip Without this I can barely get mobile reception. There has been a few incidents in the past with the particular tower eNB ID 16340. My benchmark speed for this tower is usually around 28Mbps. and the router usually connected to this via  using Dual Carrier Aggregation, However In the last month my internet came to a crawl and I logged in to find that it now only uses Single Carrier Aggregation on Band 3. I have two band 7's band 3 and band 20 available however it will now rarely aggregate at all and my speed is sometimes 0.5Mb/s. I can manually select any band I want and test the various speeds available and the best atm seems to be Band7 + Band7 max speed 20Mbps but the SINR is 0 and the connection unstable. I have also noted that my phone that can barely get 2 bars outside is now dropping calls and the signal disappears and 30 seconds later comes back again. I was Out in town yesterday and I could see the tower from my position and from where I was I would be connected to a different cell but I was getting no 3 or 4g reception only edge. There Is definitely something wrong with that tower and unfortunately for me its the only tower at home I can connect to and along the seafront as well. When I was checking the signal I just happened to notice the power drop so I will attach the picture. Radio power dip Telt.pngsignal problems.png

My Home connection is cell 7 and is in direct line of sight along the top lime green line. Yesterday I was stood in the middle of cell 1 and could see the tower yet had no reception.

I'm posting here because currently there is no easy way to contact you as you don't supply an email contact and your webchat is unavailable atm. So I'm hoping someone can pick this up and report the issues without me having to spend an hour explaining my situation to customer service team who usually haven't a clue regarding technical faults.

I will add also I have done the fault check and its coming back as no problems in my area both using my home address and the tower location.

thanks

You've mentioned having 2 x Band 7 carriers, but that site seems to only have a single carrier on EARFCN-3350. If you're getting two carriers, then another must be coming from a second-server.

EE have no email contact, but you can use the "check status" option on https://coverage.ee.co.uk/coverage/ee to check on known issues, and report ones not listed.

ah it must be from another source then but the behaviour is not normal. It did say B7 + B7 and both had SINR of 0 or -1. so I had just assumed. checking again now the results are far different. SINR 10 B7 and SINR of 0 B7 so yeah I can assume from that then it is two separate towers. there are others around however those signals are usually too weak and the router would never try to use them. If B7 is back up to 10db I'm still at a loss why it's now only selecting B3 automatically. I will submit the report however in the past automatically comes back as ok and it never gets followed up hence my message here.

Edit: I have done the check and it is now showing as a fault with no estimation on fixing yet. at least its been registered anyway hopefully it will be fixed soon. honestly though that tower is a constant problem for years. maybe with the extra 14% they might be inclined to improve the network down here. In the summer I can guarantee zero network speed for at least 3 months I do get refunded usually to an extent but chasing up problems when the only way to contact them is via the phone which isn't working is pita.

I admire your efforts to resolve this, but would recommend keeping your online fault report simple & basic.

What's the EARFCN of the second B7 carrier?

3179, there is the main tower for the area which is located near Hendra Holiday park eNB ID 21230 That tower is is pretty much out of range, it could possibly be the source but not sure.
