Oppo a72 lost 4g capability

I've been with EE for ages on a contract, and had my trusty Oppo A72 for a while.

Last week, with no warning (that I was aware of) it lost the ability to use 4g.  Did all the usual (switch off, switch on etc etc) but no to avail.  Checked EE coverage checker today and it's says 'You won't get 4G coverage on your Oppo A72.'... But I used to???  What changed?

Do you get alternate coverage, from 2G or 3G instead?

Do other EE users get 4G coverage here?

I don't seem to be getting any other coverage.  Yes - other EE users getting coverage

@scb01 , are you able to put your SIM card in another mobile phone to make sure that the SIM card is not at fault and do you have someone, who could put their SIM card in your phone to see if that works?

This would help to narrow down the problem.
