No sim card , not connected to the networkmessage

  • I keep having this message come up on my phone...no sim card, can only make emergency calls. Or the other message more recently is you are not connected to the network.

It does show numbers from my address book but not the linked names.

It's happening more and more frequently and I'm not sure what to do about it.

The 1st issue can have no connection with the 2nd.

If there were no SIM, you wouldn't even be able to make emergency calls.

Does this happen in more than one area? 

Can you try the SIM card in another phone to see if the same happens?
