Done that now, and got a message saying they are aware of a problem, why does it have to be such hard work to get an answer ?

The vast majority of site outages would be logged by proactive monitoring before most customers check the webtool, and thus a problem will be already showing.

Occasionally an affected user will be quicker than fault logging. You can always "report a problem" in this situation.
