I have two EE sims in one phone - well one is through a 3rd party but runs on EE.

I have no signal on either sim - Ive switched it off and on again - done the airplane mode thing - tried them in another phone.

Nothing works. It says there isnt a problem in my area.  Ive put in a complaint for that I cant make or receive calls and helpfully it says itll give me a reference in 48 hours and to CALL 150  - How can I call when Ive just reported I have no CALL ability.

Anyone help please as EE arent of any use and Im suppsoed to be on call.

Im in LE8 5 area of leicestershire

Hi @Marie4635

Is your phone unlocked or from EE.

Are your Sims PAYG or pay monthly contract.

Thanks

If one SIM is an MVNO one, it's not an EE one. Whether that MVNO is an EE-hosted one or not is immaterial.

Try doing a manual network search, see whether EE appears. If yes - try selecting manually, what happens? If no - there's evidence of a local lack of service.

What is "it" that says there's no problem in your area? If it's the online webtool (https://ee.co.uk/help/mobile-coverage-checker ) you can follow the "report a problem" link to send details for further checks.

Your EE SIM will have the ability to use WiFi-calling anytime you have indoor coverage issues for whatever reason. You don't need network coverage to make & receive calls, or send & receive text messages.

Thankyou I have done the manual network search and it says no reported problems - Ive used that link you published and again it says excellent coverage.  I have as I mentioned already "report a problem" and that is where it tells me to Call 150.

i get my jobs via text - and it DOES mean that I am unable to call or text, I have tried both - I dial a number it just blips out - I try to send a text it just says "sending" and now done since I sent it.   I cannot call into or text my sims, I have tried. There was no issue with either sim last night when I last used both.

Both sims says "SOS only" on the screen. Whether in my phone or my husbands phone.

Hi,

Its the same phone Ive had for 3 years and had no issues - it came from EE.

Its a Contract one sim Ive had for 20 years the other for 7.

Not come across both doing this before, sometimes if Im somewhere a little more remote one or t'other will slip into SOS Mode briefly but its been since 7am this morning (when I noticed) and not budged.

Cant dial - it just blips out instead of saying "dialing" - I cannot send or receive texts - just says "sending" and texts sent and calls made to me from hubbys phone dont come.  The Sims do the same in his phone

PS when I try and send a text it says "message cannot be sent, it will be retried when service has recovered"

FYI you have a short-time after posting to edit, thus negating the need for multiple replies.

A manual network search is something you perform on your phone's menus - to search for any networks that are available in your locality, and thus visible to your phone. You're getting this confused with using the EE website to check coverage in a particular area.

Lack of ability to make & receive calls, send & receive texts or use mobile data is a natural consequence of no coverage. The exception would be that by connecting to a WiFi-hotspot and enabling WiFi-calling, an EE phone can make/receive calls & send/receive texts without needing mobile network service.

Hi @Marie4635

Have you tried outside the house or another location. This will rule out some issues.

Can you connect to EE WiFi calling service.

Thanks
