New iPhone 17 unable to make or receive calls

So my iPhone 17 will not make or receive calls, I've had it less then a week and transferred my number across. When people call me it doesn't even ring it just goes dead. Same if I try ringing someone. But I can text. 

I've reset network and checked my number all correct just do not understand why I cannot make or receive calls

If you text NUMBER to 150, do you receive a response with the correct details? This will prove that you're not using Apple's proprietry iMessages but actually SMS text messages.

What happens when you try making a call? Given that "transferred my number across" basically means moving your SIM from your old phone to your new phone, are you able to make calls with your SIM in your old phone?
