I have been with EE for many many years (since the beginning!), and never had any issues with signal when using my phone in my house and now for some reason over the last few months, when ever anyone (not just me) in the house makes or receives calls we cannot get a signal and the call drops out or the person on the other end of the call cannot hear me/us, we have to go out of the house and into the garden or front street to be able to make or receive calls, this is totally unacceptable and will consider moving away from EE if this continues, does anyone know why this may be happening. (we have been putting it down to new build of houses in nearby estate, but again not happy moving forward if this is going to be the way it is from now on) will need to change providers if this is the case, unless something can be done.

Hello @TracyHayes ,
Welcome to the community,
Unfortunately, no network can be held accountable for network in a building, only for outside, and then it can depend whether it is blocked by buildings, trees, etc.
If you have fixed broadband, and your phone has wifi calling, you can use that, by setting it up in settings.
Have there been any new buildings or trees blocking the signal?
Is the signal good outside the house?

Hi thanks, yes there is good signal outside of the house, and yes new buildings but surely if the buildings were affecting the signal it would be effected outside too. Just never had any problems before now. I do have wifi calling will change in settings and see if that helps, thank for your advice.

@TracyHayes , that may be the reason why the signal is poor inside the building, the new buildings may be blocking it coming inside your house, but work ok outside.
You are welcome, hope wifi calling works, it should do and you should be ok.

If these new builds are covered by the same site as your home, then it's possible they could be the cause of the degradation - I would expect outdoor coverage to be similarly affected, albeit not the same extent.
Unfortunately, the nature of any radio network is that environmental factors such as buildings can affect coverage, and this happens on all mobile networks from time-to-time.
WiFi-calling is an excellent mitigation for indoor coverage, and calls will seamless handover between external 4G-coverage and indoor WiFi.
