I have been a Small Business customer in the SY13 area for about 2 years, and ignoring the fact I cannot manage my account online (EE still haven't fixed the issue), I constantly have network issues.
My setup is Dyfed Telecom installed a Satellite on the roof with an EE 4g SIM. The satellite is aimed at the new 5g cell tower mast near Prees Heath.
My partner and I work from home full time, and we have airbnb guests, so reliable network is important to us.
Some hours we can get between 20-30mb download and similar upload. This is way better than BT or Sky broadband (6-8mb), but then mid-day until 9/10pm the speeds bounce between 6-15mb download.
We are not a busy city, yet traffic on the mast consumes the network, and I'm at a loss what to do. Joining Teams calls becomes painful and sounds like we are R2D2. Streaming TV shows takes forever.
Does anybody out there have any guidance they can provide on how to ensure our network doesn't get impacted by this ridiculous clog of traffic?
Dyfed tried testing pointing the satellite towards Wem, Shrewsbury and even 2 in Whitchurch. The Prees Heath gave the best signal but it's entirely unreliable on speeds. It's 100% not the equipment as that's all been replaced by Dyfed thinking that was the cause. It's 100% EE and traffic on the mast.

I think you need to be a lot clearer on what you're referring to by "satellite" - EE's radio network does not use satellite technology.
If you have an external antenna, this is not specific to any individual radio technology (2G, 4G, 5G) but will be tuned to specific frequency bands. Some frequency bands are used by specific "G", others are shared.
Your MikroTik router will have support for specific radio technologies & frequencies, this may be the limiting factor here. Equally, as one of my previous posts mentioned, the data speeds attainable from a particular band/tech are very roughly calculated by "available capacity" divided by "amount of usage" - thus the fix for this is to either... increase capacity, reduce usage or find a technology where the maths are more favourable.

I appreciate the response, but you must know that not all users who would post on here are technical experts. We can only refer to the terms we're provided by suppliers.
To help you understand what I mean by "satellite" is that it's a dish on my roof. Much like what we would call a TV satellite in America, or a TV Aerial in the UK. It's a dish, pointed towards a cell mast.
I never said anything about EE radio network or EE using satellite technology. I said I have an EE sim card installed in a satellite dish that uses EE's network.
I'm sorry, but your responses are not very helpful. I think I prefer Michael_D who actually provides solution ideas.

I don't think you want help.
I think Dyfed Telecom are feeding you some degree of untruth or misleading info, it's being validly questioned on here and you're getting upset with another poster who is trying to help you. That's not a great way to go about resolving this issue.
When @bristolian correctly pointed out that EE's network doesn't use satellite, for you to respond suggesting that your SIM is in a satellite dish displays either ignorance or naivety, I'm not quite sure which.
Michael_D has suggested you contact Dyfed Telecom who you seem to hold in very high regard for technical advice. If they're as technically proficient as you seem to think, then they should be equally as capable of resolving this for you. They shouldn't need anyone's input, EE's or otherwise.

I'm wondering whether Dyfed have installed one of EE's trial satellite-based broadband solutions here, but in which case - this is fundamentally not using the mobile network, meaning all the references to 4G, 5G etc are extremely misleading.

That said, I'm just as happy to defer to others who are apparently more helpful
