I have an EE contract and SIM. I'm in the Thame, Oxfordshire OX9 area and have been unable to send or receive calls and texts for the last few days. When checking coverage online, I get the message that they are aware of a problem in my area. EE doesn't have a chatline (a proper live one with a person at the other end!) and like many people nowadays, I don't have a landline, nor neighbours with one, and so I have no way of contacting EE to get further information. I'm not receiving update texts from them, because I'm not receiving texts! My phone won't support the WIFI calling, which is suggested online by EE as a temporary alternative. EE are not considering that people can be left without any way of communicating with them! I know it's New Years Day but I would have expected that contact by a chatline was available under such circumstances. Thank goodness I can message and call friends by WhatsApp. I can see on this Community Discussion Group that EE seems to have frequent problems with their mobile network and as their network and service are both useless, I will certainly opt out of my contract at the end of its term. I shall move to Tesco Mobile which friends say is excellent!
