@John378 , have you checked here to see if there is a problem where you are, you can also register and receive updates and report a problem:
https://coverage.ee.co.uk/coverage/ee
Are you able to put your SIM card in another phone to see if it works? It could be that you need a replacement SIM card.
Worth taking the SIM card out, giving it a wipe and checking the SIM card port at the same time.
Surprised the store laughed at you, as that is not the way to behave either.

I have done that, and it says all is good outside inside, I tried my son in law phone which is Vodafone phone no problems.
I know my contract is due up soon so will go over to Vodafone mobile, i am looking at taking all my broadband and lanline over as well, not getting anywhere with ee.

the contract I have with you is not being fulfilled as you agreed, I am paying £20 per month for nothing.

@John378 , this here is not customer service, this is a public forum, where most people here are customers like you.
Did you try your SIM card in your son In law’s phone and did it work?
If it did not work, it could be that you need a replacement SIM card, which you can either order online or go to the EE store and get a replacement, but make sure that you need a replacement SIM card.

i thought this was ee community team workers who are here to help. dose not matter just delete this forum.

@John378 , then it sounds like it is your phone that has a problem if it worked in his phone.
What phone do you have and how old? Have you tried rebooting it, by any chance?

If your SIM works fine in a friend's phone, then that suggests your phone has a fault. The proof would be to use another known working SIM in your phone.
Comparing with another network's user doesn't serve any useful purpose for troubleshooting your issues.
