Hello, I'm new to a mobile contract, updated account through BT, where I used bt hotspots when out and about for the internet, now is it best to ignore WiFi and just use mobile data. scor.

Hi @scor

Welcome to the community.

It would depend on your allowances and the coverage in the specific area.

This is a matter of personal preference. I would always suggest using mobile data rather than "free WiFi" whenever possible - for security, amongst other reasons.

There will be occasions when free, unsecured public WiFi enables you to use WiFi-calling in an area of no coverage - equally if your data allowance is limited, you may view this differently.

Cheers, I've  now stopped my bt WiFi and allowing EE mobile only, will I now be able to get on line when I'm outside?
