It says 5G but no 5G frequency which means it's downloading from 4G and slow

So I have a 5G router, Huawei CPE Pro 2 and couple of days ago I was getting good download speeds using 5G and all of a sudden the speed went down and became slow.

I checked the settings of my router to see if it's getting any 5G frequency but it's not. 

The unit has full 5G 5 bars, but no frequency which means it's not getting any 5G data.

 

I can't upload any pictures to show you because it's not letting me add it to this post.

So you have spent your 600gb by Gifting, but I have no idea how you have managed to Gift around 600gb to another Sim when you only have 120gb of Giftable Data every month?

 

I assume the Gifted Data on the other Sim works fine at 5G Speeds.

 

Im also thinking your 4G Speed is also capped when you are being capped for no 5G.

 

Ive also left a reply on your other Thread a few days back, if you dont mind and to keep things on track and in the same place, I may ask a Mod or Admin to move that thread over to this one.

Even I don't know how I managed to do that.  But at the beginning it was around 120GB giftable and somehow afterwards, I saw around 500-600GB left to gift.  So I gifted everything in order to hit the limit and see if I'm being throttled again.  

 

I assume the Gifted Data on the other Sim works fine at 5G Speeds.

Yes it works fine.  But after using that data, I will be capped at the 'Stay Connected' speed which is 0.5Mbps. (as that SIM is not UL)

Actually that was a mistake on my part.  I thought it was the UL sim that was capped at 0.5, when it was the other SIM which ran out of data.  I need to delete the other thread.

 

You can't delete threads on here but I was tempted to merge the other one originally.

Again I really don't know how you have manged to Gift that amount, normally what happens is, once you have reached a Gifting Limit for each Sim Plan on the Family Account then that Sim Number then drops of the System for Gifting (it needs to retain 500mb that cant be Gifted, so it will show as a min of 500mb to 999mb retained as the Gifting can only be done in 500mb chunks).

 

So far Example, lets look at a scenario of 4 Sims on a Family Account and one of the Sims is Unlimited (Sim A) and the other 3 are say 10gb each Plan (Sim B, C and D), So I always advise peeps to Gift there UL Data Allowance on the Monthly Refresh Date, that way your Parking you UL Giftable Data on the other Sims so its safe, you not going to eat into it using your UL Data. So your UL Data Sim has 120gb that can be Gifted, so you Gift say 40gb each to Sim B, C and D. So Sim A (UL Data) is now done, its spent, no more Data to Gift, if you try and Gift any more Data from Sim A it doesn't show up on the Drop Down List (from Who's gifting) the list will only show who is left to Gift Data, which will be Sim B, C and D, all with around 50gb Data left to Gift.

 

Sims B, C and D can Gift Data willy nilly to each other even if they run out you can Gift back and forth until its all used or up to your next Refresh Date.

 

Sims B, C and D can not Gift Data back to Sim A, the System will not allow it because its an Unlimited Sim.

 

On Sim A (UL Data) any Data you Gift will come out of your FUP, so in theory if you Gift 120gb from it then your FUP is now 480gb.

Yep well explained.

 

But still doesn't explain the issues at hands.

I cant explain your experiences, I can only explain how the System works, or more to the point how I believe the system works.

 

I cant explain how your managing to Gift close to 600gb of your UL Data to another Sim, I cant explain why you seem to be the first Member on here or pretty much the first EE UL Data Plan User to get Speed Restricted and Capped, I cant explain why your getting Capped and other Other Users are not, including myself.

 

I know you explained that you were, and intended to be a Heavy User with Multiple Devices connected to your 5G Router but I know of other Users who in the past have used 1 or 2 Terabytes of Data a month without any issues, I wouldn't classify myself as being an extremely heavy Data User on my UL Data Sim, if I was to hazard a guess probably 300 to 500gb on a good month, but the truth is I have no idea, as if I request Data Usage on either the App or on the Web (My EE) all I get back is Used 0mb of Unlimited or You Have Unlimited Data, and History is always showing as Expired Null of Null, that is why I asked if you could show the Results of your Add-On Request in another Post above (copied here) -

Both SIMs are in routers and in the loft.  I might go in there and get the data that you want if the following doesn't suffice.

 

To see how much data you've used, go to My EE > Data and Usage > Data Usage (see below highlighted in yellow) and click See Details on the right pane (highlighted in yellow)

 

 

The page will automatically scroll down to the data usage part when you click on More Details to this

 

 

If you are still within FUP, it will say 'x GB used of 600GB'.  Once you've gone past the FUP of 600 GB, it will say 'null null left of null null'.  That's where I'm getting my data from.

@Ar5had07 , if you are a heavy user, you may need to change to a business account instead, as there is an FUP for personal use, but you are able to use more data on a business account, this is despite it saying unlimited, but heavy users are best with a business account.

This is a brand new contract.  It's only been 6 weeks. @Schockwave 

No need to go into the Loft just click on Add-On URL, Im particularly interested in what it returns for this on Your UL Sim.

 

I tend to use the EE APP but have followed the Web UI which gets to the same page as yours and there is no mention of any xx gb used of 600gb FUP just 0mb of Unlimited Data and again Null of Null on mine.

 

I fairly sure the UL Data Sims on the Small Business Plans have exactly the same FUP's and for Personal Use Only, ie, 600gb for the Phone UL Sims and 1000gb for the more expensive Data Only UL Sims, although I did see somewhere that the 1000gb for the Data Sims has now been reduced to 600gb.
