Is phasing out 3G affecting the 4G/5G network?

Network signal is getting worse and worse at the point you can't surf the web or make a phone call. Is there any problems with the EE network/masts? Indoor is terrible or absent into stores and supermarkets, outdoor it's like a return back to the GPS

I can tell you my area Stirlingshire and Perthshire the signal not just has worsened but there's almost no or slow data connection, inside shops and supermarkets you don't get a decent signal not even for a phone call

EE were in a very good position prior to 3G switchoff, that there was very little usage of that technology. 4G coverage had exceeded that of 2G/3G for quite a while prior, thus it's only 3G phones that now find themselves on 2G permanently.

I have an iPhone 16 pro, and EE had a good coverage here months ago, but now it seems back to the old days when we had no data coverage, so I was wondering if they were working on the masts creating problems to 4G/5G

Rollout of new sites, addition of capacity and technology to existing sites, and associated config changes, are all continual activities and very much "business as usual"
