If you've not done so already, try toggling flight mode to ensure your phone hasn't "dropped off" available coverage.

Use the "check service status" option on https://ee.co.uk/help/mobile-coverage-checker  in the first instance, to check for local service outages. A loss of coverage will remove the ability to make/receive calls, send/receive texts or use mobile data.

If you're in the UK and have a WiFi connection, you can use WiFi-calling to keep using your phone as normal without needing network coverage.

Thank you, unfortunately the above hasn’t solved the problem. Toggled flight mode, checked local coverage and says ok. When I’m in the office I do use wifi and wifi calling, but when I go outside and no access to wifi I only have 1 to 2 bars of signal and try to make calls but says calls failed, can receive calls but they break up a lot. I have filed a report with EE so they can double check area coverage. I am not near lots of trees as I’m close to the seafront so big wide open area.

Good morning @1969193.

Thanks for giving those steps that @bristolian mentioned a try 😊

Just to be sure, when you're viewing the coverage page, are you selecting the option to check the service status?

The coverage checker will give you an estimate of the overall coverage available in the area, but this doesn't reflect any issues in real time.

It's the service status option that will check for any potential live incidents.

I’ve just moved to Brighton from another area with excellent 5G and the coverage in Brighton is appalling and worse that I’ve ever known.  It’s like living in the early 2000s all over again:  I’ve given up on 5G because of the number of dropped calls I’ve had when it switches between 5G and 4G.   I have an iPhone 13 Pro which is always updated on iOS and yes have toggled galore.  Having travelled extensively outside of Brighton since moving here it’s very obviously an issue with Brighton and inadequate provision.

Hi @daroundtheworld

Thanks for coming to the community and sharing your experience.

Have you had a look on our network checker at any particular areas of Brighton to see if there are any known problems?

If there are some showing, you can sign up for updates, but if not there is an option to report a problem so our network team can look into the area.
