Hi everyone,
I’m wondering if anyone has experienced this issue or knows how to fix it.
I signed up for EE’s unlimited plan last August and was happy with the service for the first few months. But recently (past couple of months), I’ve been experiencing frequent disconnections from the mobile network. It goes from full signal bars to zero bars, then “No Service,” and back to full bars—all within seconds. This happens more often indoors, but recently it’s been happening outdoors too, around every 5 to 10 minutes.
At first, I suspected it was my phone, so I visited the Apple Store and even tried switching to a different device—but the issue persisted. Then I thought it might be the SIM, so I switched to an eSIM. That seemed to help slightly (fewer disconnections), but the problem didn’t go away completely.
Today the issue got worse again, happening consistently throughout the day, both indoors and outdoors.
I’ve contacted EE multiple times, but their support has been unhelpful. They just keep trying to upsell me home broadband, which honestly feels off-topic and frustrating.
Has anyone else experienced this or found a solution? Any advice would be really appreciated!
Thanks in advance.

If anything here, changing to an eSIM has narrowed your options. One troubleshooting piece would be to perform a 2way SIM-swap... taking a working phone/SIM, and a non-working phone/SIM and swapping them around.
Otherwise... does this issue only occur in a specific location? Or is it more generalised?

Unfortunately, the issue happens randomly and isn't tied to a specific location — it occurs both indoors and outdoors, and in different places.

In which case it's far less likely to be a network issue, and more likely a device/SIM one.
You need a way of taking one out of the equation while both elements are separately tested, a 2way SIM-swap is the most reliable way.
