EE Network Coverage and Status Checker

Jon_K
Former EE Employee

We've combined our network status tools to provide you with all the network information you need in one handy place.

You'll now be able to check the coverage in your area as well as getting up to date information about any maintenance we're carrying out to continue improving our network

You don’t need to register for updates if you’re just curious, just simply search a postcode for a quick status check on the area.

Register for My Places to receive updates on network issues or planned work in your area

  • Select the 'I have a problem' option

  • You will be presented with an up to date status of your area

  • Tap ‘Add To My Places’ and enter your mobile number.

  • We will send a verification code to your number, just so we know it’s you.

  • You will now be updated with any planned work or problems.

  • After your first location is added, you can add additional places by going to ‘Manage My Places’

How do I report a network problem?

If you're experiencing issues but the EE Coverage and Network Status Checker isn't showing a problem in your area, you can report this using the ‘Report A Problem’ button.

  • Enter your postcode and tap the ‘I have a problem’ button.

  • You'll be presented with the latest status of the network in your area

  • Tap the 'Report a problem' button

  • You will be asked for further information around your issue so that we can do some further investigation
  • Once we've taken a look, we'll get back to you with an update within 48 hours

Why isn't there an option to unsubscribe from the network status update? I haven't been an EE customer for nearly two years yet every time there's a disruption near my address I get multiple emails from yourselves. I don't want to block it, or set a filter to automatically delete it, as I may become an EE customer again in the future, which would mean I likely wouldn't remember to re-enable them. Just auto unsub people when they leave, or at leave offer some means to unsubscribe whether you're a customer or not. While you're at it, why not include some links for customers to acknowledge their having problems or that they are back working. If someone could please just unsub me, with the same email address as this account, that'd be great.

Hi @hua-kai

Welcome to the community and thank you for using our network status checker.

If you follow this My Places link, you can use your mobile number to access it and remove a place that you've set up previously.

Let me know how you get on.

Chris

Hi Christopher,

That worked fine. Perhaps I missed it in earlier comments, but I scanned through them, as when I looked at that page I assumed I could no longer make changes as I am no longer an EE customer. Perhaps the wording could be clearer that the service is available to everyone, and that previous customers can still make adjustments.

Thanks,

hau-kai

Glad you got sorted, @hau-kai.

I'll feed that back. 🙂

Thanks for these instructions, but they could probably do with an update and the steps and screens have changed since this was posted 😉

What should I enter if my phone or 4g router are not on your list of mobile devices? (Blackview BV5500 & TP-Link AC750)

Hi @Tim385

Just pop in 'EE 4GEE Router', depending on what the capability of your router is.

Screenshot 2022-03-14 at 08.18.06.jpgThis has been the unchanged message on your service checker for my area for over a week now. Can you please find out from your engineers what the problem is, and when it will be fixed. Painfully slow speeds (less than 1m) on phones and 4g internet.  Clearly taking longer than 16 hoursScreenshot 2022-03-14 at 08.18.06.png
